Information on the most common mental health condition in America. Look under the Resources tab for self-tests on a variety of conditions such as Social Anxiety Disorder, OCD, and Panic Disorder.

Applied Behavioral Analysis

Association for Behavior Analysis International
Although this site is for practitioners, it does have a page that describes Behavior Analysis, with frequently asked questions about how to apply behavior change principles, especially with children with developmental disorders.

Autism Society of America
The Autism Society of America is part of an international support network that serves individuals on the autism spectrum, their family members, and the professionals who serve them.

Autism Speaks
Autism Speaks is an advocacy group that promotes expanded services to autistic children and their families, as well as advancing research in the field of autism.

Center for Autism and Related Disorders
The CARD Center at the University of South Florida provides training and consultation on autism for families, educators and professionals throughout West Central Florida.

Autism Research Institute
Founded over 40 years ago, this site offers research that explores the possible link between environmental triggers and the alarming increase in the prevalence of autism. There are many FAQs, as well as editorials and links to providers who follow the “Defeat Autism Now” method of treatment.

National Autism Association
As a member of the Autism Collaboration, this site provides information on nutritional approaches to the treatment of autism. Also included is information about their autism safety initiative called Found.

Learning Disabilities Association
Homepage of the Learning Disabilities Association of America. There are pages for parents and teachers, as well as for adults with learning disabilities.

National Center for Learning Disabilities
This site includes excellent content on the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, both of which govern accommodations that are appropriate in educational and work settings. A variety of downloadable checklists that can be useful in identifying learning disabilities and organizing relevant documents for use in school meetings are found here. Also included is information on assistive technology.

LD Online
Learning Disabilities and AD/HD are featured on this site. Information on how inclusion is affecting special education services is provided. There are many topics featured, including multimedia resources.

Psycport.com is APA’s official website of current new articles regarding psychology. This is an excellent resource for keeping up with the latest in psychological news.

Area Agency on Aging
As a designated Aging and Disability Resource Center, this organization has served seniors and their families in Pinellas and Pasco counties since 1974. Their mission is to help older adults remain in their own homes.

Tourette Syndrome

Tourette Syndrome Association of America
Home page of the Tourette Syndrome Association of America, including a list of publications and videos. There are also pages for individuals with TS, as well as information on research and treatment.

Tourette Syndrome “Plus”
Because Tourette Syndrome has many other conditions which may coexist with motor and vocal tics, this site provides a review of all the other conditions which should be included in a comprehensive evaluation and treatment plan for TS.

EMDR International Association
