Kathie Blake, Psy.D.
Dr. Blake is a licensed Clinical Psychologist in the states of California and Florida. She completed her doctoral work in Pediatric Neuropsychology at Carlos Albizu University in Miami. Her research dissertation was a comparison of problem solving abilities in children with Attention Deficit Disorder. Beyond her doctoral work Dr. Blake has received extensive training in Play Therapy and Psychological Testing.
Dr. Blake began her career working with children and families at the school based Children’s Psychiatric Center in Miami. She went on to an association with Miami Children’s Hospital for 10 years where she administered neuropsychological testing for the department of Behavioral Medicine and Personality Testing for the inpatient children/adolescent unit. Additionally she was the resident on call for Adolescent Medicine and did outpatient family therapy.
Dr. Blake moved to California in 2005 where she supervised and trained masters and doctoral level therapists at a Family Counseling Center in Los Angeles. Her career then expanded to become the director of Psychological Services at a Pediatric Care Center for children on the Autism spectrum.
Upon relocation back to Florida in 2010 Dr. Blake has been a Special needs Educational Consultant in Tampa. She has recently joined Family Psychology Associates in Safety Harbor where she runs social skills groups for children and teens as well as seeing individual children and women.
